Terms of Sale

1. Contract Formation & Scope of Work

These Terms of Sale apply to all contracts entered into between EcoGrid Energy Limited ("the Company") and the Customer for the supply, installation, and commissioning of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, battery energy storage systems, EV charging stations, air source heat pumps, and wind energy systems. A binding contract is formed once the Customer approves the quotation and pays the required deposit.

2. Quotations & Pricing

All formal quotations issued by EcoGrid Energy Limited remain valid for 30 calendar days from the date of issue unless specified otherwise. Prices are quoted inclusive of standard installation equipment, MCS documentation, and G98/G99 Distribution Network Operator (DNO) notifications. Under current UK tax legislation, qualifying residential energy-saving materials are subject to 0% VAT until April 2027.

3. Payment Schedule & Milestones

• Initial Deposit: 25% payable upon signing the contract and ordering materials.
• Pre-Delivery Payment: 50% payable 48 hours prior to equipment delivery and scaffolding erection.
• Final Balance: 25% balance payable upon completion of physical installation and G98/G99 commissioning handover.

4. Site Access, Scaffolding & Preparation

The Customer must ensure clear, unobstructed access to the installation site, loft space, electrical distribution boards, and roof areas. EcoGrid Energy Limited will arrange scaffolding erection where required under UK Work at Height Regulations 2005.

5. DNO Grid Approvals & Statutory Consents

All solar PV and battery storage systems require connection approval from the local Distribution Network Operator (DNO). For domestic systems under 3.68kW per phase, G98 notification is submitted post-installation. For commercial systems exceeding 3.68kW per phase, G99 prior approval must be granted by the DNO before grid connection.

6. Warranties & Guarantees

EcoGrid Energy Limited provides a 10-Year Workmanship Guarantee on all physical installations. Equipment carries manufacturer performance warranties including 25-Year Linear Power Warranties on Tier-1 Solar PV Modules, 10-Year Inverter Warranties, and 10-Year Battery Storage Capacity Warranties.
