1. 14-Day Right to Cancel (Cooling-Off Period)
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, residential customers have the legal right to cancel their contract within 14 calendar days from signing, without penalty, receiving a 100% refund of any deposit paid.
2. Roof Integrity & Structural Survey
EcoGrid Energy Limited conducts a structural roof assessment prior to installation. If structural timber repairs or tile replacements are identified as necessary, these must be completed before scaffolding erection.
3. Electrical Consumer Unit & Earthing Compliance
Installations require an up-to-date dual RCD / RCBO electrical consumer unit and adequate main earthing bonding in accordance with BS 7671 IET Wiring Regulations (18th Edition).
4. MCS Handover Pack & Certification
Upon completion of physical installation and payment of final balance, EcoGrid Energy Limited issues the customer a comprehensive MCS Handover Pack containing:
- MCS Certificate of Installation for Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) registration.
- Building Regulations Compliance Certificate (NAPIT / NICEIC).
- Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC).
- Manufacturer Warranty Certificates and User Operating Manuals.
